Hill-Rom® Respiratory Care

Break the Vicious Cycle

When mucus is unable to be cleared from the lungs, it builds up and creates an environment in which bacteria can grow. This may lead to repeated, serious lung infections which cause more damage to the airways of the lungs and can become a vicious cycle of infection. This cycle may lead to irreversible lung damage and respiratory failure.

To break the vicious cycle, Hillrom Respiratory Health offers a portfolio of products designed to help mobilize and evacuate retained secretions and mucus from the airways.

Clearing the way for Bronchiectasis (BE)

Hillrom works closely with healthcare partners to provide effective airway clearance therapy for patients with chronic respiratory disease, such as Bronchiectasis (BE).  In the U.S., BE is an under diagnosed disease affecting as many as 4.2 people out of 100,000 in the 18-34 years age group to 272 people out of 100,000 in those over 75 years of age.1  We know that early and consistent treatment can slow the progression of the disease.

In an effort to help patients find HCTs that understand BE and how to treat it, we are creating a searchable Find-a-Provider List on our Living with BE website.  Please fill out the form by clicking the link below to be added to this list.  You can be removed from this list at any time by contacting us online or calling customer service at 800-426-4224.

Regardless of the patients underlying disease or condition, a primary focus of  respiratory health should be to avoid secretion retention which may help prevent or break the viscous cycle of recurrent infection.

Here are the more common diseases and conditions that contribute to retained secretions and which may benefit your patients by using one of the Hillrom Respiratory Health products:
